There are a lot of people struggling quietly in Jerusalem. Some have lost jobs or are temporarily out of work. Others have been hit by illness or other unexpected circumstances. To the outside world, they are leading normal lives and their challenges are less visible. But that doesn’t change the fact that they are living hand to mouth and struggle to make it month to month.
That is where Life with Dignity comes in. We are made aware of people in tough circumstances and where we can help, we offer care and support to those who are falling through the cracks.
I’m married and have a fantastic family. Almost every one of my children developed a serious illness and my wife recently broke her spine making it impossible for her to work. I spend my days taking my children to various hospitals and clinics around Jerusalem and caring for my wheelchair-bound wife. For the last 4 years the Life with Dignity program of Justifi has allowed me some respite from the constant financial and emotional pressure with the support you all give me before the holidays. I do not know where we’d be without your help. Thank you again and again.

Where is my money going?
Besides bank fees (currency exchange, international wiring, and credit card processing) 100% of every donation is going to Life With Dignity beneficiaries.
All other administrative costs are covered by Justifi as part of our tikkun olam mission.
How much should I give?
The needs of families in poverty are very diverse. We try to get to know each family and their unique situation in order to create a solution for them.
Any amount makes a tremendous difference and the more you give, the more you can help.

Helping those in need is an unbelievably meaningful experience. The Life with Dignity Ambassador program enables you not only to contribute, but also to educate and empower your friends, family and social networks to bring dignity to those who are struggling.
My employers made me redundant overnight leaving me in the very embarrassing situation of being unable to provide for my family. Until that point we had been living a middle class like and, in fact, had been a donor of the Life with Dignity campaigns in the past. When Jamie approached me knowing that I was out of work I was very embarrassed to admit that I needed help. The way that the organization handled the situation was so discreet that no one in my family even knew and the funds provided really helped me get back on my feet. Although I no longer need outside support, Jamie still checks in with me on an occasional basis. I’m happy to be back as a donor again and not a recipient but wanted to thank all of you anyway for your support when I desperately needed it.
